How do I book time on your calendar?

I’m so excited to work with you! Here is a brief overview of my process.

  1. Use my contact form to tell me a little about what kind of services you need and your timeline. I may follow up with some questions to get all the info I need to put together an estimate for you.

  2. I’ll confirm availability and send you an initial estimate for your approval.

  3. Once the estimate is approved, we’ll finalize any remaining details and item delivery dates, then I’ll send over my contract and an invoice for a 50% deposit. Both must be completed for work to begin.

  4. Upon completion of the order I’ll send the final invoice with shipping and any additional costs incurred to pay before the items are shipped. Once shipped, I’ll provide you with the tracking information via email.

  5. Please review your order within 48 hours of receiving it and contact me immediately if you find any errors or issues.

Who provides the materials?

The client is responsible for providing materials, and they must be approved prior to the start of the work. Some surfaces do not work well for calligraphy and I want to make sure I can provide a satisfactory result for you. I’m happy to provide advice on suitable materials at no additional cost.

Do I need to provide extra materials?

Due to the human error element involved with handwritten items, 20% extra supplies must be provided. Extras will be returned to the client after completion of the work. This includes non-paper materials such as tiles or agate slices, but does not apply to large items such as mirrors or chalkboards.

How do I format my guest list?

Names and addresses must be typed and submitted in an editable format exactly as they will be reproduced in the final product. This includes spelling, formal titles, capitalization, abbreviations, and punctuation. Please proofread and finalize all names and/or text before submitting them.

Will all my envelopes look identical?

Handwritten calligraphy is an imperfect art by nature - this is part of it’s charm. There may be slight variations in the lettering on each envelope, but they will form a beautiful cohesive whole.

Do you offer refunds?

I want you to be happy with your items! Due to the custom nature of these items, I do not offer refunds. We will work together to make sure you’re satisfied with the concept or proofs before work begins. If you are dissatisfied with something in the final product please contact me and we can work to find a solution. If there is an error due to a mistake on my part, the item will be replaced as quickly as possible at no cost to you.

I’m short on time, can you do a rush job?

All work will be taken on subject to availability on my calendar, and rush jobs (less than 2 weeks turnaround time) are subject to a rush fee.
